Feedback quality and performance in organisations

چکیده

The provision of feedback is fundamental for promoting employee performance in modern organisations; however, little known about how the quality affects performance. We report an experiment where subjects perform a real-effort task repeatedly flat-wage environment which varies across treatments. In baseline treatment, receive no their rank group. two main treatments, that know (“High-Quality Feedback”) or do not (“Low-Quality exact show important driver productivity. Average significantly higher high-quality than low-quality feedback, significant overall differences are observed. Our results have implications designing and implementing cost-effective policies within organisations.
